Located in beautiful Washington County, Upstate New York, is a family owned and operated alpaca farm 60 minutes north of Albany, NY, close to the Vermont border and New England. Since 1998 we have been breeding Champion Alpacas concentrating on fine fiber in a variety of colors.
High on a hill overlooking the mountains of Vermont, Quarry Ridge is home to a delightful herd of alpacas, a devoted livestock guard-dog, a faithful barn cat and two friendly farmers. Having bred show quality alpacas for 20 years, we are now concentrating on the fiber component of the business, creating artful items crafted from the alpacas’ fleece. We offer fine alpaca yarns and blends, hand-dyed and natural, as well as unique hand-woven and knitted garments.
In order to diversify the genetics available in the North East, we have brought bloodlines from the western states as well as from Canada. Our herd includes such renowned bloodlines as MFI Jericho, Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah, Accoyo Peruvian Calligula, Accoyo Peruvian Legacy and Neversummer.38 Special.
